We have something for everyone interested in learning and doing missions work. From Mission Friends for the younger set to Women's Missionary Union (WMU) for the older we provide opportunities in missions education and involvement.
Churchwide mission trips have included a church construction trip to Alaska, a combination construction/Vacation Bible School/revival trip to Idaho, several Disaster Relief trips to flooded and hurricane ravaged areas around the country, construction and repair/rebuild trips to Cancun, Mexico, Cleveland, Tenn., and Atlantic, NC.
On the local front there is the opportunity to get involved in the WMU's ongoing ministry to the Youth Diversion Center or their fabulous Flower Ministry.
Or come join the Father's Kitchen Ministry Team as they feed the homeless and other needy every First and Third Saturday of the month. The Lord's Pantry, a free-standing agency that provides food and clothing for the needy, has been associated with First Baptist Church people since its founding by a member, Mr. Henry Duggan. It provides a daily opportunity for involvement in a pure mission/ministry effort!
