For more than 35 years, Albany First Baptist Church has been committed to providing quality preschool education in a loving, Christian environment.
We have small classes to assure individual attention and out teachers are dedicated to helping preschoolers see themselves as special creations of God.
We provide a wide variety of activities that enrich a child's life, helping to strengthen them physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Some of the programs we offer are:
• Mother's Morning Out
We have a Mother's Morning Out program for children six weeks to two years old. These classes have low teacher-child ratios and meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 1 pm.
With a wide variety of experiences like blocks, home living, music, art, literature, outdoor play and "cooking," these boys and girls have a wonderful time playing with their new friends and loving teachers.
A summer program for children ages six weeks to sixth grade is also provided.
• Preschool Classes
We offer high-quality preschool programs for children three to four years old. These classes meet from 9 am to 1 pm daily, and parents have the choice of either three-day (Tues., Wed., and Thurs.) or five-day classes.
Our teachers are committed to teaching strong Christian values. Bible stories and memory verses are taught in the classroom in addition to bimonthly worship services.
These children are also involved in a phonics-based reading program rich in literature. Spanish classes, computers, music, library, art, and outdoor play as well as field trips, provide a wide range of activities to keep the children interested in learning.
We have a wonderful outdoor play area with lots of new equipment. During the winter, the three and four year olds enjoy roller skating in our gym once a week.
We also offer drive-thru drop-off and pick-up daily for our preschoolers.
